North Point Hospitality Group Is Breaking Ground For A Garden To Grow

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. for the launch of midtown’s newest addition, the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown. Speakers included Edna Jackson, Mayor Pro Tem and Pete Liakakis, Chatham County chairman. The ground breaking ceremony was followed by a catered lunch on the site of the future 133 room hotel.

Just 4 miles from Savannah’s beautiful Historic District, the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown will be a brand new full service hotel, which is scheduled to open in March 2007. The hotel will have 118 standard rooms, 15 suites, outdoor pool, cardio fitness center and more than 3,800 square feet of versatile function space to accommodate a wide range of events and groups of all sizes.

Situated at 5711 Abercorn Street and adjacent to the new and stylish Abercorn Walk retail development, the Hilton Garden Inn is the newest addition to Savannah’s stylish and trendsetting area.

The Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown will have complimentary wired and wireless high speed internet access through out the property and meeting facilities as well as a full service restaurant serving breakfast and lunch daily.

Each guest room will be equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. In addition, guests will enjoy complimentary daily shuttle service to and from Savannah’s Historic District, as well as on-site complimentary self parking.

The Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown is the newest addition to the North Point Hospitality Group, Inc. family of hotels. North Point owns and manages two other award winning hotels in Savannah, the DoubleTree Hotel Historic Savannah and the Garden Hotel Historic Savannah.
