Engineer was Chosen from Nearly 50,000 Team Members Worldwide as “Spirit of CARE” award winner Hilton Worldwide has honored David Laufman, Engineer, of the DoubleTree by Hilton Historic Savannah with the company’s Spirit of CARE Award. This award designates Laufman as a top performer within DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels. Today, at 2:30pm Hilton Worldwide will celebrate David Laufman’s award at the DoubleTree on Bay Street.
Nominated by their peers because of exemplary loyalty, attitude and service, the chosen team members continually exceed expectations of both customers and fellow team members. Less than one percent of all DoubleTree by Hilton team members nationwide receive this honor each year.
Laufman was nominated for the award by his peers after proving to be an exceptional role model. “David continues to make outstanding contributions to guests and team members, showing great enthusiasm in all areas of his work at the hotel,” said Mark Stratton, General Manager. “We are proud of his recognition as a Spirit of CARE Award winner, the company’s most prestigious team member award. Employees like David create a welcoming and exceptional experience for a guest, which impact other team members and creates a domino effect of great service. ”
Laufman represents the true Spirit of CARE. Employed since August 28, 2009, Laufman continually goes the extra mile in taking care of the guests. Most recently Laufman was called to a room on an Engineering call and noticed a lot of toys in the room. He promptly went to the storage unit downstairs and pulled out two DoubleTree backpacks with toys and placed them in the room with a personalized note welcoming them to the hotel. The guests will not only be back to our hotel but David has built Brand Loyalty, something we strive to obtain everyday!
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels, which has 50,000 employees and more than 230 hotels worldwide, recognizes less than 100 employees a year with this honor. As a recipient of the award, he will receive a cash prize of $350, (2) one-night stay certificates at any DoubleTree by Hilton brand property, plaque, lapel pin, and other special recognition throughout their career with Hilton Worldwide.
