NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (September 28, 2017) – North Point Hospitality, an Atlanta based hotel development and management company, celebrated the topping out of the first tri-branded Marriott hotel in the US yesterday afternoon with a private ceremony. Key leaders and executives from Marriott International, Inc., SunTrust Commercial Real Estate, the construction lender, & North Point Hospitality were in attendance.
The tri-branded $140 million, 470-room Marriott, located in Nashville’s popular SoBro neighborhood at 410 5th Avenue South, will include a 125-room SpringHill Suites, a 136-room Residence Inn, and 209-room AC Hotel. All guests of the three hotels will have access to the full-service amenities within this landmark tri-branded property.
“This is a major construction milestone for our 21-story hotel,” said S. Jay Patel, President and CEO of North Point Hospitality. “The project continues to move forward on schedule and we look forward to debuting this unique hotel to the public and the Nashville community in the third quarter of 2018.”
The SpringHill Suites/Residence Inn/AC Hotel by Marriott Nashville Downtown is truly a one-of-a-kind hotel. Located diagonally from Nashville Music City Center, the AC Hotel rooms will face Korean Veterans Boulevard, and the Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites rooms will face Fifth Avenue South. While guests of each hotel will arrive at one main entrance, once inside, they will experience three distinct hospitality brands. In addition, hotel guests will be offered a wider variety of amenities and options to serve all their travel needs including an indoor/outdoor, resort-style pool & pool bar with stunning views of downtown Nashville. Furthermore, the hotel will feature a larger than traditional fitness center and multiple food and beverage options not normally offered at each individual brand, including 11,000 square feet of leased retail and restaurant space on the ground floor.

The location is convenient for business travelers attending meetings and conventions at the Music City Center and for leisure guests visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, the Johnny Cash Museum, Bridgestone Arena, Lower Broadway, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Nissan Stadium, and the area’s many restaurants.
The company is also pleased to formally introduce industry veteran, Juan Mera as General Manager of the SpringHill Suites/Residence Inn/AC Hotel by Marriott and Nashville local, Peter Garapic as Director of Sales.
Juan joined North Point Hospitality in 2004 and has since served as a General Manager for North Point Hospitality owned and operated hotels in Nashville, Atlanta, and currently serves as the Area General Manager for five North Point owned and operated hotels in Savannah, GA.
Peter recently joined North Point Hospitality as the Director of Sales after a 25-year hospitality sales career, most recently with the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp as a Senior Sales Manager. He will lead the sales effort for this unique tri-branded hotel.
