North Point Hospitality Team Members Recognized at Tourism Leadership Council Awards
SAVANNAH, Ga. (March 9, 2026) — North Point Hospitality team members were recognized for their outstanding contributions to Savannah’s hospitality industry at the Tourism Leadership Council’s (TLC) annual Tourism Awards & Scholarship Dinner held March 5 at the Savannah Convention Center.
Among the evening’s honorees, Tiffany Carter, Front Desk Supervisor at Homewood Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic District, received the Service Star Award for Best Front Desk Employee. The Service Star Award recognizes hospitality professionals who consistently demonstrate exemplary job performance and go above and beyond in serving guests.
Carter was recognized for her dedication to creating exceptional guest experiences and for her leadership at the front desk, where she plays a key role in welcoming visitors to Savannah and ensuring a memorable stay.Two additional North Point Hospitality team members were also nominated for Service Star Awards:
Mayra Cavalheiro, Bartender at Lavender Rooftop Kitchen + Bar, nominated for Best Server
Juan Yesquen Chirinos, Engineer at Homewood Suites and AC Hotel Savannah Historic District, nominated for Best Support Staff
Later in the evening, Rick Morris, Director of Operations for Homewood Suites and AC Hotel Savannah Historic District, was presented with the TLC President’s Award, which was awarded for the first time this year by TLC President and CEO Michael Owens.
In presenting the award, Owens recognized Morris for his positive impact on Savannah’s hospitality community, as well as his humility, accountability, and reputation as a problem solver who approaches every challenge with the mindset that no task is too big or too small. Owens also noted Morris’s commitment to ensuring every guest experience is exceptional.

The TLC Tourism Awards & Scholarship Dinner brings together Savannah’s tourism and hospitality community each year to celebrate outstanding professionals while raising funds for students pursuing careers in the industry. To date, the Tourism Leadership Council has awarded more than $150,000 in scholarships to students studying hospitality and tourism at regional colleges and universities.
