ATLANTA, GA — JANUARY 28, 2016 — North Point Hospitality Group, Inc. is pleased to announce industry veteran, John Hicks, as their 2015 Executive of the Year. John first joined the company in September of 2011 and brought with him over 28 years of experience in real estate and construction development.

Triplett, Executive Vice President of North Point Hospitality Group. “This award really speaks to John’s ability to complete the complex projects we had underway last year. His skill set adds value to what we do and this is our way of publicly acknowledging that fact.”
Since accepting the role of Vice President of Development, John has been responsible for the development management of all new construction and renovation work for North Point Hospitality Group projects. His most recent accomplishment includes the completion of the $39 million Homewood Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic District/Riverfront, Savannah’s newest all-suite hotel located just footsteps from River Street in Savannah, GA. John’s current focus is now on the daily oversight of the new 145 unit Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Savannah Midtown, which is expected to open in 2016, and a 478 unit, tri-branded hotel in Nashville, TN expected to break ground early 2016.
John is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. From there, he went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He also served in the United States Navy.
