North Point Hospitality Tri-Brand Marriott Nashville Downtown Named Development of the Year by ALIS

ATLANTA, GA — January 31, 2020 — North Point Hospitality, an Atlanta-based hotel development and management company, recently received the 2019 ALIS Development of the Year Award for Select/Limited Service (includes branded and unbranded – upscale, upper midscale, midscale, and economy chain scales) for the new SpringHill Suites/Residence Inn/AC Hotel by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Convention Center.

The ALIS Development of the Year Award recognizes two newly built, redeveloped, or repositioned (after significant product renovations and/or enhancements) hotels that opened, reopened, or completed their repositioning in the Americas region between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019, including categories for full service and select/limited service hotels.

The tri-branded $140 million, 470-room Marriott, located in Nashville’s popular SoBro neighborhood at 410 5th Avenue South, includes a 125-room SpringHill Suites, a 136-room Residence Inn, and 209-room AC Hotel. The three hotels share upgraded amenities not normally found at each specific brand individually. All guests are welcome to experience resort-like amenities on the 6th floor that include a heated pool and hot tub, as well as fire pits, private cabanas with televisions, and KV5, an indoor/outdoor pool side bar featuring small plate offerings. Rtb!, the guest exclusive rooftop bar located on the 21st floor, features sweeping views of downtown Nashville. For special events, the property offers more than 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including nearly 4,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space on the 21st floor with floor-to-ceiling windows. Other upgraded amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, complete with multiple Peloton bikes.

North Point Hospitality Announces 2019 Executive of the Year and Hotel of the Year

ATLANTA, GA — January 31, 2020 —  North Point Hospitality, an award-winning Atlanta based hotel development and management company, is pleased to announce Bryan Cornelius as their 2019 Executive of the Year. Bryan joined North Point Hospitality in January 2002 and currently serves as the General Manager of the Homewood Suites Savannah Historic District/Riverfront. Bryan joined North Point Hospitality shortly after graduating high school and has built his career in the Savannah hospitality industry, including assuming his first general manager role at the age of 24.

“We like to promote our leaders from within the company. It has been my pleasure to watch Bryan grow from housekeeping and front desk to general manager,” says Whip M. Triplett, Executive Vice President of North Point Hospitality. “His exceptional level of service, work ethic, and his ability to motivate and inspire his team is truly something to be admired.”

In addition to announcing the 2019 North Point Hospitality Executive of the Year, the company is pleased to recognize the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District as the 2019 North Point Hospitality Hotel of Year. This award is given every two years to the hotel that exceeds expectations and outperforms its goals. The Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District is led by general manager Jake Warner.

“Jake was instrumental in the success of the $7 million renovation of the Hilton Garden Inn in 2018,” states Triplett. “Since joining North Point in 2009, he has risen the ranks to be an extraordinary leader and team player. Jake and his team are well deserving of this award.”

North Point Hospitality Hotels Receive Top Awards From Marriott International

ATLANTA, GA — April 25, 2018 — The SpringHill Suites Lumberton, NC and Fairfield Inn & Suites Savannah Midtown were recently presented with top awards from Marriott International. The SpringHill Suites received a Marriott Gold Circle award for their performance in 2017 while the Fairfield Inn & Suites received a Marriott Silver Circle. This is the second year in a row the SpringHill has brought home this recognition and a first-time award for the Fairfield Inn & Suites.

The Gold Circle award is presented to the top 10% of the brand in overall Guest Satisfaction scores while the Silver Circle is awarded to the top 20% of the brand in overall Guest Satisfaction. There are currently 395 SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotels in the company and more than 900 Fairfield hotels. Read More
