Nashville’s Prime Midtown Property getting hotel

A prime piece of Midtown real estate is getting a Hilton Garden Inn, and maybe more. Alpharetta, Ga.-based North Point Hospitality Group has started tearing down the Roesch-Patton Funeral Home at 1713 Broadway to make way for the nine-story, 192-room hotel. J.E. Crain & Son, which recently built the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown, will construct the Hilton Garden Inn.

North Point is believed to have plans for a second hotel on the 1.67-acre site. Attempts to reach a company official for comment weren’t immediately successful.

North Point bought the funeral home site at the end of March for $6.25 million. The site sits next to Bristol on Broadway condominiums, and has been the site of a funeral home, for many years.
