They heard the horn of a cargo ship headed for the seaport and Patel suggested they go to the rooftop to see the ship pass by under a cloudless sky. As the group reached the breezy patio overlooking the waterway, they saw not one but two ships cruising by in opposite directions. It’s almost as if the picture-perfect scenario had been cued from above. “That is the first time I have ever seen that happen,” marveled Patel. He teased Whip Triplett, executive vice president of North Point Hospitality: “I don’t know how you managed to pull that one off.”
